"It's All Nice On Ice"

This is a drawing of what I think Saint Peter and his pet laughing at you would look like. It is based on the lyric “Peter and his monkey laugh” from the Modest Mouse song “Styrofoam Boots.”

I like the imagery of approaching the gates of heaven, only to have Saint Peter and his pet share a laugh at your expense. You join in, unaware they are mocking you. After they are done laughing they let you in heaven but put you in the back among the other non-believers, assigned to mundane tasks like polishing halos and baking manna for eternity. 

As you settle into your celestial responsibilities, the atmosphere in the heavenly abode becomes a curious blend of serene enchantment and celestial chores. The laughter you shared with Saint Peter and his pet lingers in the air, echoing through the celestial realm.

Assigned to the back with the other non-believers, you find a sense of camaraderie among your newfound celestial companions. Together, you embark on the peculiar yet oddly satisfying tasks that fill the heavenly routine. Polishing halos becomes a communal activity, with each soul taking pride in enhancing the radiance of their celestial crowns.

Baking manna, too, evolves into a celestial culinary endeavor. The kitchen in heaven becomes a place of creativity and collaboration, where heavenly aromas waft through the air as you craft the divine sustenance for the inhabitants of the ethereal realm.
